My urge to add some kind of art to the industrial rust belt landscape of Wheeling, WV led me to explore wheatpasting. I started off drawing on newsprint and then created large scale woodcuts in order to print duplicates of the surreal images. This project brought a smile to people’s faces as they were surprised and intrigued  by the street art scattered throughout the city. The woodcuts carved for this project also led to quilted iterations.
