Lowe’s Home Improvement

MURAL

In celebration of its Centennial Anniversary, Lowe’s commissioned 100 murals in 100 cities across the United States. Each mural showcases the vibrancy of Lowe’s brand through the lens of the local community.

Mural

The Waipahu mural remixes classic Hawaiian motifs and showcases a floral sky, hatch mark hillsides, and a giant wave full of tropical fruit. Lowe’s shines bright as the sun amidst a dazzling blue sky full of tropical flowers such as protea, orchid, lilikoi, ‘ilima, heliconia, blue jade, and more.

The fruity wave brings a wide array of fruit to the shore, which speaks to the beauty in Hawaii’s diversity.

For the fruit, flowers, and humans, what grows and thrives in Hawaii is the result of a mixture of cultures. Our strength comes from the diversity of backgrounds and ideas coming together to educate one another and build community.

The hatch marks represent the densely populated island of Oahu full of dreamers, tinkerers, DIYers, and professionals who rely on Lowe’s. By providing easy access to raw materials, Lowe’s plays a big part in how life unfolds in Hawaii. It is a constantly evolving process full of dynamic change led by passionate people.
