Voices of Resilience: A 91 Place Mural Project

This 20 ft x 12 ft mural located at 911 Mass Avenue celebrates the strength and stories of young adults overcoming homelessness and poverty. 

Design Inspiration

To start things off, I met with 91 Place residents to hear their stories and what’s important to them. Next, I created designs that reflected their experiences through visual imagery. Residents and staff selected the final design.

I offered painting sessions at the Stutz open to 91 Place staff, residents, volunteers, and community members. This collaborative approach reflects the heart of 91 Place’s mission: fostering community, compassion, and transformation.

The mural serves as a powerful visual reminder of 91 Place’s mission to disrupt generational poverty and chronic homelessness through redemptive relationships and holistic support. By uplifting the voices of those served, this project demonstrates the resilience of marginalized youth.
